Le Quesnel

Finally after a long day it was boots on the ground, Paris, France. Driving along the countryside roads towards my home away from home which is situated in Albert France, my first stop was the Canadian Memorial - Le Quesnel - Battle of Amiens. The 8th of August 1918 would become a Black Day for the German army with losses upwards of 27,000 men. The last visitor to this sight was over 2 weeks ago on the actual day of the battle. This sight is located in the middle of farming area and seems to just grab passers bye as they are doing their daily commutes. Standing here so quiet and serene, it is hard to imagine what it would have been like 105 years ago.
